Opportunities to Serve
We read in the Great Commission that Jesus gave us, that we are to go into all the world and
preach the Gospel! To do that, we must commit ourselves to be involved
in spreading the Good News of salvation both near and far away. The
“Jerusalem … Judea … Samaria … and ends of the earth” from Acts 1:8 gives us the blueprint for our outreach efforts.
Our Church
Serving starts with the local church, the apostle Peter told us in his first epistle: "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." Each of us has been given "gifts" we can use to serve him, and each other.
We can serve at First Free Will Baptist Church by:
-Being present
-Praying when you can't be present
-Volunteering when volunteers are needed
-Greeting and encouraging others
-Taking care of shut-ins
-Helping with the buildings and the grounds
-Many other things
-There is a place for you!
Our Community
Our community is very important to us, we schedule events on a regular basis in order to interact with the people who live and work here.
-Lift up our community in prayer
-Distribute the Gospel message
-We have provided school supplies for students
-Provided essentials for the homeless
-Small gifts of gratitude for our First Responders
-Coats for those in need
-Working with the Salvation Army, Safe Place, and the Gideon's
-Support Operation Christmas Child
-Participate in Food Drives
-Nursing Home Services
-Gifts for our Shut-ins

Our World
Our Church Planters here in North America, and our Missionaries across the globe are serving in our place. Free Will Baptist North American Ministries (FWBNAM) trains and sends out Church Planters and Chaplains here in North America. Free Will Baptists International Missions (IM) trains and sends out Missionaries globally. We lift them up in our prayers on a regular basis, and partner with them from time to time with special projects as needs arise.
